Hi there, thanks for clicking on this page to get to know me a little more. Being your photographer means being there with you both through your whole day, not just capturing it, so I wanted this page to feel like an honest introduction to who I am as a person. Here is my story.
I was born in India and grew up in Ahmedabad while my parents worked abroad. The only pieces of them I had were printed photos relatives brought back once a year, and I would spend hours trying to picture their life through those photos, matching every detail to the stories we shared on our landline calls. Looking back, that is exactly where this all began.
After moving to Canada, I taught myself the technical side of cameras through YouTube, one late night at a time. Then a friend invited me to shoot her backyard wedding. Watching two people commit to forever through my lens, I knew I had found what I wanted to do with my life.
When I see natural chemistry between a couple, I go full ghost mode, quietly moving around for the best light and angle so you can just be you. If I sense you're feeling a little lost, I'll step in and guide you through it, down to the smallest detail: where your head goes, where your hands rest, where to look, when to hold your gaze.
During the ceremony, my mind is fully with the two of you. I catch the small stuff, a look shared between you, a hand quietly reaching for the other. Those are the moments I live for. I always make sure to give couples a couple of minutes completely alone, just to feel their day. And if your social battery ever runs low, I'll be the first to sneak you away for a breather.
I shoot with two prime lenses, one wide and one closer, like a 50mm. Sticking to just these two frames trains my eye to really see the shot before I take it, and I'll switch between them depending on the location. Every wedding I take on, I try to capture it the way I studied those old photos as a kid: like something worth holding onto for years.
Based in Mississauga, I am just as happy on a hiking trail or at the cottage as I am behind the camera. I stay active with outdoor walks and lifting weights a couple times a week, and I am currently planning my own wedding with my fiancee Bhoomi, so I get to see this whole process from the other side too.
